Even if cheese isn't a component of the Chamoru cuisine the person that probably came up with the recipe is probably a chamoru ... we chamorus barely have anything that'll reflect on our traditional food history ... for example RICE ... but yet we use it to make red rice , empanada , tamales gisu or arriskadu ... there are a lot of food items that is not now or ever will be a a compnent of the chamoru cuisine or reflect on the traditional food history but without those products what will our chamoru cuisine taste like ?!!! Call it what it is ......Nacho cheese sauce .
Cheese is not now nor ever has been a component of Chamoru cuisine . Sure would appreciate some authenticity. Canned tomatoes is not an accurate reflection of our traditional food history.
