Ingredients

* 1 cup milk
* 1 tsp. baking powder
2 cup Flour
2 cloves garlic
1 doz. Eggs (medium)
3 cup salad oil
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
4 pkgs. Shrimp (small), cleaned
1 med. Onion
3 pkgs. Frozen mixed vegetables

Cooking Instructions

1. Crush shrimp and place in a large bowl.
2. Thaw, wash, and drain vegetables. Add to bowl of shrimp.
3. Chop onions, and garlic very fine. Add to shrimp mixture.
4. Beat eggs in a medium size bowl; add flour, and milk and mix thoroughly. Then add to shrimp mixture and mix thoroughly.
5. Add black pepper, salt, and baking powder.
6. Heat oil and maintain at medium heat.
7. Drop by the spoonful in hot oil. Cook until golden brown.

There's a beer batter in frying fish recipes. What would happen if we added beer into the shrimp recipe instead of milk? Just curious. Left by: rosalind evangelista seth (30 May 2011)
